A custom retaining wall, paver sidewalk, steps, surface drainage system, and low maintenance landscape complete with lighting and irrigation was installed in this client’s rear yard to make use of a sloped lawn area. This enhancement connected the garage and driveway to the lower lawn area and home.
The owner of this property needed a design that would incorporate their new garage to the home and create a functional environment. Our design achieved this need by creating a new terraced element, connecting all four areas together while making the once unusable area functional and beautiful. An underground drainage system was installed to capture the upper terrace surface runoff and pipe it below grade to be dispersed in the lower lawn area. The planting areas and low voltage landscape lighting complemented the flow of the hardscapes, setting the mood for late evening entertaining.
This upgrade provides usable space to a once sloped and unusable area.
