This home's old wooden steps were dilapidated and had become a real safety hazard, as well as a neighborhood eyesore. With this corner being the local bus stop pickup point for the area, a real concern for the children's safety was one motivation for completion of this project.
The slippery, decayed wood was replaced with new paver steps and segmental retaining wall. The terraces made natural planting areas that soften the stone work. The improvement in form and function is dramatic.
